DENS will deliver a set of services, ranging from initiatives for the prevention of homelessness, through to temporary accommodation, to resettlement into independent living, for single homeless people (18-65 yrs) in the Dacorum area.

DENS will work in partnership with government, council and other agencies, acting as an independent hub to access services for homeless people in Dacorum.

Specific Aims:

• To improve clients' physical and mental health, self-esteem and social skills
• To enable clients to reduce drug/alcohol misuse
• To increase clients' knowledge of rights
• To increase clients' independence
• To improve clients' skills/education
• To enable clients to access housing and maintain a tenancy
• To support clients in independent living for the first six months
• To reduce the negative impacts of homelessness on the local community (e.g. crime, anti-social behaviour)
