1st October 2011 Dacorum Rent Aid joins DENS!
The board and trustees of DENS and Dacorum Rent Aid (DRA) are pleased to announce that they have merged to become one organisation and DRA will now act as an extension to the current DENS Move-On Accommodation.
DENS Chairman, Tony Grainger says, "If DRA did not exist, DENS would have had to invent it. DRA and DENS share the same objectives; working as one can only be of benefit to homeless people."
DRA are assisting single homeless people into private rented accommodation, providing a guarantee to landlords against loss or damage. Referrals are made to DRA via Dacorum Borough Council, self referrals and DENS.
DRA Chairman, Anthony Culley says, "Both organisations support single homeless people in Dacorum. DRA will continue to provide tenancies with private landlords. The new organisation will be able to provide more housing solutions for homeless people."
DENS Chief Executive, Andrew Liversidge says, "This is a real partnership. Both organisations have strengths that complement each other. They share the same values. The new organisation will support users in an even more connected way."
