We rely on support from local businesses, and with so many ways to get involved, both DENS and your company can benefit from any help you can offer. Businesses that engage with their local community fulfil their Corporate Social Responsibility, and can experience improved reputation and publicity, a motivated workforce, and increased customer retention.

For more information on how you and your company can support DENS and how this partnership will benefit your company, see our Companies page or get in touch on 01442 800268 or fundraising@dens.org.uk for more information.

Our Partners

Aitchisons Estate Agents

Aitchisons have provided space on their for sale boards to help us promote our fundraising events, and have have provided sponsorship for many of our other events, including The Hemel Hillbuster.

“We are proud to support DENS by providing the charity with donations, items for service users, and promoting their events. Everything helps. Join us in supporting this local charity!"

Staff at the Watford branch of KPMG UK took part in a First Hour Appeal in aid of DENS - donating their salary for the first hour of the new year and raising over £4000. They also raised a further £500 by holding a sponsored Dress Down Day, and sent a group of staff to volunteer at our Hemel Hillbuster events.

Lumina Technologies

Lumina Technologies have kindly agreed to sponsor a lovely Christmas tree and decorations for The Elms. The tree will be decorated by Sixth Form students from Tring School.

The Nandos restaurant at Jarman Park in Hemel Hempstead are supporting our Day Centre by providing food which can be used for our hot lunches.

Rotary Clubs

The Rotary Clubs of Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted are regular supporters of DENS, providing financial contributions and volunteer support for events such as The Hemel Hillbuster.

Tesco stores in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted & Tring regularly hold collections for our Foodbank, where shoppers are encouraged to donate extra food. The Sainsbury's in Woodhall Farm, Hemel Hempstead, has a permanent collection point. Waitrose stores in Berkhamsted and St Albans have included DENS in their Community Matters scheme. Ocado have donated cooler boxes for the DENS van, and offer fresh food twice a week for use in DENS services.

Utility People

Recruitment agency Utility People have selected DENS as their Charity of the Year. Their staff raised money for DENS by doing a sponsored virtual Cycle to Lapland, and have taken part in many other of our fundraising events, as well as spending a day volunteering at the Foodbank.

Commercial vehicle dealership Vanarama provided DENS with a van, which has enabled us to collect and deliver furniture for our service users and furniture warehouse, and deliver supermarket donations for the Foodbank.

Vanarama’s support of DENS is part of the company’s bid to raise £50,000 for nationally recognised charities and those nearer to home this year. In 2015 Vanarama aim to increase this to £100,000.

All the staff here at Vanarama were really keen to support a local charity where we could make a real impact. Most people have heard of DENS and the important work it does to get people back on their feet after homelessness, so we opted to support them”
