What will your 100 be? the possibilities are endless!

Friday 30th April - Monday 3rd May 2021

you’re invited to take on a challenge around the number 100 to help raise vital funds for DENS.

Friday 30th April 2021 would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday and the one-year anniversary of the now famous 100 laps of his garden. To celebrate his incredible life, we’re delighted to be part of an exciting new event: the Captain Tom 100!

Everyone, of all ages and abilities, is invited to take on a challenge around the number 100 anytime and anywhere over Captain Tom’s birthday weekend, starting on Friday 30th April through to Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May.

Here’s how you can get involved:

Dream up your challenge – You could bake 100 cakes, cycle 100km, write a 100-word poem or sing 100 songs. The possibilities are endless! For more challenge ideas, check out this great guide.

Start fundraising – Set up a JustGiving page via the ‘click here to start fundraising’ button above or below and select DENS as your chosen charity. There’s no minimum sponsorship required, but pages with a target tend to raise the most, so why not aim for £100? You could even ask your friends and family to take part with their own fundraisers!

Take on your 100 – Complete the challenge anytime between Friday 30th April and Monday 3rd May. We’d love to see how you’re getting on, so share your progress on social media using #CaptainTom100 and tagging @DENSinDacorum.

Get rewarded – As well as making a huge difference to helping rebuild the lives of vulnerable local people, top fundraisers will be rewarded with one of our brand-new mascots, DENNY The Bear!

If you have any questions about the challenge or would like assistance setting up your fundraiser, please contact fundraising@dens.org.uk.
