This is an exciting opportunity for full time Housing Key Worker to join The Elms team to provide support to Elms residents, helping us to deliver an excellent restorative service to Dacorum’s homeless. As well as a good understanding of housing and benefit support, the successful candidate must demonstrate an excellent understanding of the issues faced by homeless people from complex backgrounds and an ability to engage positively with these people.

Are you a warm and friendly person who enjoys meeting new people? Are you over 25 years of age? Would you like a volunteer role that is available during the evenings and weekends as a well as during the day?
We are currently recruiting Volunteer Receptionists to greet residents and visitors at The Elms, our hostel. You will be the first point of contact for people entering and leaving the building and for our residents who may have queries. Full training will be provided. Shifts are available Monday to Friday 9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm and 5pm-8pm. On Saturdays and Sundays there is one shift each day 10am-2pm. Once the recruitment procedure is completed you will be provided with access to an online calendar so that you can sign up for shifts.

Gardener at The Hub
We are looking for a volunteer to look after a small garden at the DENS Hub on Paradise.
You could work at a time that suits you.

Throughout the year we run various events to raise awareness about our work and much needed funds to continue our services. We always need volunteers of all shapes and sizes to help run stalls selling cakes or registering event participants, setting up or putting away equipment, collecting money and handing out leaflets, and much more.
