Our Furniture Warehouse, located at The Hub, Paradise, allows you to support DENS by buying or donating furniture, electricals or household goods. These items are also given to people moving into DENS accommodation, so all contributions are helping us support vulnerable people in Dacorum.

Whether you want to make a donation or you’re looking for a bargain, we deal in:

  • Furniture - sofas, all size beds, matresses (must be clean without any stains), tables & chairs, bookcases, cabinets, armchairs, chest of drawers etc. Must be good, reusable, resellable condition.
  • White goods - cookers, washing machines, fridges, freezers. Must be excellent condition and not older than 6 years.
  • Household electricals - Microwaves, TVs (flatscreen digital only), kettles, toasters, irons, DVD players, etc. All in good clean condition.
  • Toiletries and household cleaning products
  • Crockery - dinner sets, glassware, cutlery. All must be in sets of at least 4.
  • Kitchenware - kitchen utensils, pots & pans, frying pans, casserole dishes. All in good clean condition.

We’re always grateful for any donations you can offer. We currently have an urgent need for the following:

  • Double beds & mattresses, double duvet covers
  • Kettles, toasters, microwaves, fridge freezers, cookers, washing machines
  • Items for restoring furniture (paint, wax, varnish etc.), belt sander & paint stripping tool
  • Chainsaw, circular saw, lawn mower

We do not currently need: Bedding (except double duvet covers), room tables, childrens toys & furniture, bric-a-brac, single beds

We are now selling our Home Starter Packs, avaiable in single (£50), two adults (£75) and family (£100). These packs consist of things you would need to set up a new home: bedding, kitchen utensils, pots & pans, dinner set. toiletries and households cleaning products. We provide these to service users who are moving on to private rented accommodation. These packs are ideal for students moving into new accommodation or for first time movers.


Sunnyside Rural Trust Farm Shop

Open Monday to Saturday from 10-3

The Shop champions local produce, ethical and British products. You can also get a coffee & cake when you visit and sit inside our new café area inside, or bask in the sun, looking at all our colourful bedding plants for sale outside the shop.
