At DENS, we are grateful to have incredible supporters helping to rebuild lives by raising funds and awareness of our work.

And we believe they’re worth shouting about!

See our Get Involved page for a variety of ways YOU can make a difference to the lives of vulnerable members of the community.

Here are just some of our fabulous fundraisers:

Before lockdown, 8 year-old Ava prepared a delicious 3-course menu for her friends and family at her very own pop-up restaurant! Ava’s evening raised a fantastic £180 for DENS.

“It was great” says Ava “We had lots of friends and family who came to eat my food. They brought drinks with them and it really felt like a real restaurant.“

Michael Wright

The cancellation of our annual Hillbuster event wasn’t going to stop Michael who completed a 62km ride on his bike at home instead!

Lavinia, Anne, Lily & Weston

For setting up their very own bake sale in their street, raising a fabulous £60!

Matilda & Florrie

For taking on The 2.6 Challenge by rollerskating 260 laps of their driveway. With some moral support from Betsy they dog, they completed the challenge and raised £300.

Hannah and her friends at Berkhamsted School set themselves the challenge of covering the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats (970km) in one week as part of their daily exercise during lockdown. They succeeded to cover 1868.79km and raised a whopping £1520 along the way!

For starting ‘Alice’s 50day Challenge’ for her friends and family to raise money for DENS.

Elaine turner

For setting herself a 2.6 Challenge to complete 26,200 steps in a day. She smashed this target whilst completing her day at work on the frontline training the Nightingale Hospital team.

 Jack Murphy

For hosting a live online DJ set in aid of DENS over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
