A SAFE SPACE TO LEARN NEW SKILLS
Our three Social Enterprise Projects provide DENS clients, and other vulnerable or socially excluded adults, the valuable opportunity to…
- Develop employability skills in a supportive environment
- Build confidence
- Feel part of a community
- Make new friends
- Create amazing bikes, food, and coffee that provide additional income to continue DENS work.

The Bike Project
The Bike Project workshop provides a relaxed atmosphere for people to learn a new skill and build their confidence, in a supportive environment.
Our participants work on donated bikes and refurbish them, which we then sell from our Bike workshop. Each participant also gets to keep a bike they have worked on.

The Coffee Project
The coffee project gives DENS service users valuable barista experience – a great skill to help them take a step towards moving back into employment.
Staffed by DENS service users, The Coffee Cart is a popular fixture at DENS fundraising events, creating fantastic aromatic coffee that lifts the spirits of our eventers.
It also generates its own income to support its development and growth. As the project develops, The Coffee Cart will have more presence at local events and festivals, so keep an eye out on our social media for all the latest news!
The Catering Project
Our newest Social Enterprise, The Catering Project, works alongside our Coffee Project to provide a catering service at external events.
Our staff and participants have sourced, made and provided amazing buffet food at DENS events, such as the launch of the Bike Project. We hope to expand these services throughout the year, so watch this space!
