Golf Day – Terms & Conditions

By registering and ticking the box on the registration form, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions below, including any further instructions or regulations displayed or given on the day of the event by staff or officials.

General

• I understand that these Terms and Conditions apply to the DENS Golf Day, held on the date and at the venue stated at the time of booking.
• I understand that all participants must be aged 18 or over on the day of the event.
• I understand that by registering myself and/or additional players, I am agreeing to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all individuals included in the booking and accept responsibility for ensuring they have read and agreed to them.
• I understand that my entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. If I am unable to attend, I will notify the Event Organisers as soon as possible.
• I understand that DENS reserves the right to change the event format, timings, venue logistics or schedule if required for safety or operational reasons.

Health & Safety

• I understand and confirm that I (and any participants I am registering) are physically fit, in good health, and able to safely participate in a full day of golf.
• I confirm that I have no known medical condition that would put myself or others at risk by taking part.
• I acknowledge that participation involves physical activity and that minor injuries, illness or accidents can occur.
• I understand that I am responsible for monitoring my own physical condition during the event and must stop playing if I feel unwell or unsafe.
• I understand that DENS reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant from the event, without refund, if they are deemed unfit to participate or pose a risk to themselves or others.

Personal Responsibility & Liability

• I understand and acknowledge that I am participating in the event entirely at my own risk.
• I accept that DENS, event sponsors, volunteers and supporters shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage sustained before, during or after the event, except where caused by negligence.
• I understand that DENS will not be held liable for loss of or damage to personal belongings or equipment.
• I accept responsibility for my own conduct and safety throughout the event and for complying with all rules of the golf club and instructions given by officials.

 Weather & Event Changes

• I understand that golf is an outdoor activity and that weather conditions may vary, including cold, wet or slippery surfaces, and I will wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
• I understand that in the event of adverse weather or circumstances beyond DENS’ control (including force majeure), the organisers reserve the right to cancel, postpone or alter the event.
• I understand that if the event is cancelled, postponed or significantly changed, I will not be entitled to a refund and that the entry fee will be retained as a donation to support DENS’ charitable work.

Conduct

• I agree to behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all times towards other participants, staff, volunteers, spectators and golf club personnel.
• I understand that aggressive, abusive, unsafe or excessively disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event without refund.
• I understand that alcohol consumption must comply with golf club regulations and that intoxicated behaviour will not be permitted.

Photography & Media

• I understand and give permission for photographs and video footage of me (and any participants I have registered) to be taken during the event by DENS or authorised third parties.
• I understand that these images may be used indefinitely to promote the work of DENS and its fundraising activities across print, digital and social media.
• I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to inform the Events Team prior to the event if I do not wish images of myself or those in my booking to be used.

Data Protection

• I understand that DENS will process my personal data for the purposes of administering the event and event-related communications and will never sell or swap my details with third parties.
• I understand that any medical information provided will be used solely for safety purposes on the day of the event and will be deleted post-event.
• I understand that DENS may contact me about future fundraising events, and that I can opt out of communications at any time.
