“More than a roof and a bed” is said on an almost daily basis at DENS when discussing the breadth of support we deliver to local people in need. These words ring louder than ever as we prepare to move into the new DENS Centre, developed in partnership with Dacorum Borough Council.
This centre is more than just a place for crisis response – it’s a space for growth, empowerment and transformation.
Your donation will help fund mugs, fridges, laptops, tables, chairs, whiteboards and much more – but your gift is so much more than those items.

For Amy, this mug of tea marks the moment she will start to get on top of rental arrears and keep her family in their home, as she chats with our friendly team.

For Frank, who was sleeping rough only a year ago, this will be an opportunity to finally learn basic digital skills – so he can access medical services, apply for jobs, open a bank account and so much more.

We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel a sense of worth and belonging within the community.
Our services include therapy, financial literacy and budgeting courses, tenancy sustainment support, tailored advice, employability skills training and our Foodbank.
But we can’t do it without the support of our community.
We’re asking our community and partners to help us fund this vital equipment and reach our target of £65,000.
