Dear DENS supporter,
Our accommodation services provide personalised and comprehensive support for local people facing homelessness.
From the moment a client starts their DENS journey, we will be by their side all the way until they’re ready to live a fully independent future.

Gary’s story
After the breakdown of a long-term relationship, Gary found himself homeless and separated from his daughter. Referred to The Elms by our Day Centre, he later moved into shared accommodation with support from his Key Worker.
A chance return to work gave Gary renewed purpose and stability. Now living independently in a home close to his job, he continues to receive support as he builds a brighter, more secure future.

Your donation could…
help keep our accommodation services running – ensuring any local person in need receives tailored support to take the next positive steps in their lives.
Final call for Gavin & Stacey fans
This is your last chance to win a call sheet for the show’s last ever scene, signed by the leading cast, plus a script of the final episode!
Courtesy of our new Patron, Adrian Scarborough, the call sheet is an exclusive, behind-the-scenes breakdown for the cast, director, producers and crew, detailing the iconic closing scene – featuring a special farewell message from Ruth Jones and James Corden.
Prize draw closes 31st July at 12pm.

10 years of The Elms hostel
We are proud to celebrate a decade of our homelessness hostel, The Elms! Working in partnership with Dacorum Borough Council and other local organisations, The Elms has – and continues – to make a big difference for local people experiencing homelessness.
It’s been amazing to reflect on how DENS and our accommodation services have developed over the past decade to help rebuild so many lives across our community.

Calling all cycling enthusiasts
The DENS Hillbuster is back, and bigger than ever! With stunning routes through the beautiful Chiltern Hills, including a brand new 150k challenge, there’s something for every rider. Enjoy chip timing, well-stocked feed stations and a lively event village waiting at the finish line.
Please share with anyone you know that loves cycling. Their pedal power can make a big impact.

Volunteers BBQ & Awards
We had a brilliant evening celebrating our amazing volunteers at The Elms hostel. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the event, and to each person who has given up their time to support DENS over the past year!
A special congratulations to Jim, the winner of this year’s Derek Baulch Award for exceptional volunteering – who has volunteered at our hostel’s reception desk for almost three years.

A wonderful Woodland Trail
The community spirit was incredible at our latest fundraising event, as hundreds of walkers and runners braved the heat to take on a stunning route through woodland and countryside!
A big thank to everyone who took part, volunteered and supported behind the scenes. Your support helps DENS keep our vital work going.
