We’re so proud of Phil, the Senior Project Worker at our Day Centre, for being recognised by the Hemel Hempstead Gazette as a local Covid Hero!
Phil has made a huge difference throughout the pandemic by tirelessly helping people facing homelessness and other forms of crisis. Anyone is welcome through the Day Centre’s doors, and Phil is always there to provide a hot meal or snack, some friendly company and expert advice on any issues associated with homelessness.
Despite the safety challenges posed by the pandemic, Phil and the Day Centre staff have worked hard to adapt the service – ensuring minimal contact and social distancing is always in place. Phil, Karen and the team have also provided around 5 nourishing, hand-cooked takeaway meals per day to safely feed those who need their help the most.
