News from DENS – February 2026

Dear DENS supporter,

At our Therapy Centre, we see every day how timely, trauma-informed support can help someone regain stability and hope.

Thanks to your generosity, people like Nathan can access free, immediate therapy when they need it most – without long waits or barriers.

Nathan’s story

After being asked to leave the family home during a difficult period of drug dependence and mental health struggles, Nathan turned to DENS. Moving into The Elms hostel, he began building structure into his life and opened up to the Therapy Centre about the trauma and PTSD he had been experiencing.

Regular sessions became the turning point in his recovery. Even after a relapse, Nathan was able to quickly return to therapy, helping him regain stability and maintain abstinence from drugs.

Now living independently, working and preparing to welcome a baby with his partner, Nathan says therapy at DENS transformed his life – helping him move from feeling broken to building a hopeful, stable future.
