Oscar’s story

When Oscar first visited the Day Centre, he had been living on the streets of Dacorum for several years after experiencing a family breakdown. Facing social exclusion, he did not have the confidence to reach out for help to improve his living conditions.

Thanks to the invaluable support of his Key Worker, Oscar’s life has transformed – and he has settled in a new hometown, enjoying full-time employment.

Looking back on 2023

Here’s a preview of stats from across our services last year, which can be found in full on our website via the link below:
• 4,140 food parcels were distributed by our Foodbank last year. 10,282 people received emergency food relief, of which 4,258 were children.
• 149 individuals accessed our emergency Crash Pad overnight accommodation, where they may have otherwise slept rough.
• 163 people stayed at our hostel, The Elms, with an average stay of 140 days.

Gear up for an action-packed day of cycling

High Needs List

Our Foodbank has a good supply of many food, hygiene and household items. However, there are some specific items that we are in need of, such as tinned ham, tinned soup, long life milk and sanitary products.
