News from DENS – May 2025

Dear DENS supporter,

With summer just around the corner, we’re excited to share some brilliant ways you can get involved, make a difference and have some fun while supporting local people in need.

Step into nature this summer

Join the DENS Woodland Trail on Saturday 21st June and take on a sponsored 5 or 10-mile walk through beautiful local countryside. Starting from Berkhamsted Castle, it’s the perfect way to enjoy the sunshine, explore the great outdoors and raise vital funds to help local people rebuild their lives!

Running the route is also welcome for those looking for a summer challenge with a purpose.

A big congratulations to all the other amazing finalists. We’re looking forward to celebrating together at next month’s awards ceremony.

Know someone who loves cycling?

Please share this with them! The DENS Hillbuster is one of the South East’s biggest cycling events, with routes from 60k to a NEW 150k ride through the stunning Chiltern Hills.

With chip timing, feed stations and a buzzing event village at the finish, it’s a day to remember. Plus, every pedal helps support local people in need.

Could you be a Digital Skills Volunteer?

Some of our clients are held back in life by a lack of basic digital skills. That’s why we are seeking volunteers to be matched with clients and provide one-to-one support to develop these skills at their own pace.

We require volunteers who are able to make a regular commitment of at least one hour a week, with the opportunity to volunteer more time if desired and dependent on the demand for support.
