Summer Draw Terms & Conditions

Terms of entry

1. You are aged 18 years or older.
2. You will not buy or purport to buy an entry to this Draw on behalf of anybody under the age of 18.
3. You are a resident of the United Kingdom.
4. A Draw Ticket will be entered into the draw if:
   • an application for such Draw Ticket is received by us before the closing date; and
   • payment for such application is received by us before the closing date.
5. You will provide accurate entry information, including your name, personal address and telephone number and accept that it is your responsibility to keep us informed of any changes as soon as they arise.
6. Each Draw Ticket will be sold for £2.
7. There is no upper limit to how many times you enter/how many tickets you buy.
8. We may, at our sole discretion, refuse to sell a Draw Ticket to any person without giving reasons.
9. A Draw Ticket may not be transferred from a person listed as the owner of the respective Draw Ticket on our records to another person.
10. You are advised that DENS will process your personal data for the purpose of the Draw Ticket purchase, and that we will never sell or swap donor details with anyone.
11. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information on how we look after your personal information. ‘We’ and ‘us’ mean DENS.
12. DENS may keep ticket holders informed via email about future editions of this campaign, or similar upcoming campaigns. If participants would prefer not to receive these communications, they should email fundraising@dens.org.uk.
13. All proceeds (minus fees) from this Draw will go to DENS to support vulnerable people facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion.
14. By purchasing or attempting to purchase a Draw Ticket, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

How to enter

15. Entry to the Draw and payment for tickets can be done online via dens.org.uk/summerdraw, or in person by purchasing a DENS Summer Draw ticket(s).
16. We accept no responsibility if the chosen method of payment is cancelled by you, your bank, or credit or debit card provider.
17. The Draw opens on Thursday 1^st May 2025 at 10am and closes on Wednesday 3^rd September 2025 at 12pm.
18. Entries and payments received before or after these times and dates will not be entered into the Draw.
19. Once you have purchased your tickets, you will receive an automated email which acts as your ticket and payment receipt.
20. All tickets, manual and online, will be entered into the Draw.
21. The winning number will be selected via an online randomiser and recorded by DENS after Wednesday 3rd September.
22. Winners will be notified by telephone or email within 7 days of the draw closing.

Prizes

23. There are 13 prizes. A full list can be found on dens.org.uk/summerdraw.
24. Winners will be selected randomly and allocated a prize upon drawing the Draw.
25. There is no cash alternative.
26. There is no alternative prize.
27. DENS’ decisions made pursuant to these Rules shall, once made, be final and binding.

Limitation of liability

28. We shall not be liable to any person:
    • for our inability to contact you and/or award any Prize due to any errors or omissions in the details you provide or your failure to update these details if they change;
    • for any interest of whatever nature claimed by person in a lost or stolen Draw Tickets
    • any matter beyond our reasonable control.
29. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for:
    • death or personal injury resulting from negligence;
    • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
    • any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

This Draw is run by DENS. the promoting society is Dacorum Borough Council, whom we hold our small society lottery licence with Lot343.
