If you are homeless or facing homelessness
If you are homeless, or about to become homeless, DENS can provide you with accommodation, or give you advice to get you the help you need.
The first step is to contact our Day Centre, who will talk you through the next steps, including possibly referring you to our Hostel.
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm: Call us on 01442 275900 or email us on needhelp@dens.org.uk (please leave a phone number we can reach you on).
Outside office hours: Call The Elms Hostel on 01442 800131 or Dacorum Borough Council’s out of hours number on 0800 018 6050.
What happens next
The next steps depend on your situation. First, you’ll be asked some questions about your current housing and financial situation.
If you need temporary accommodation, you will be referred either to us or another organisation which may be a better fit for your requirements.
If you are offered DENS accommodation, this will be at The Elms, our 44-bed Hostel. Click here for more information.
